What was the highlight of Magdalena Grand Beach & Golf Resort
Magdalena's has so much potential!
The pool was clean and relaxing, and the daily inclusive breakfast at the restaurant is nice and convenient with a nice selection of cuisine, and eggs cooked to your liking. The staff are friendly with a welcome 'Rum Punch' when you check in. All the employees were friendly and hospitable. Thank you for the bottles of wine in our room as we were staying for our wedding anniversary.
This is our 2nd stay at the hotel in 4 years and basically no facility maintenance 'upkeep' has occurred since our last visit. Our sliding door to our balcony was hard to open where we struggled and I noticed nothing has changed with the ice stations, they were either 'not in use' or broken, along with the elevators. My wife and I wanted to relax near the sandy area of the hotel looking out to the ocean one of the days rather than being around the pool, basically all the lounge chairs were broken. The whole complex needs a refurbish with the $$ we are paying to stay there. This hotel has so much potential and could be pumping with tourists all year round, rather than get told its a "quiet time of the year". My wife and I are travellers and still enjoy staying here but improving the little things around the complex can make a big difference. Even opening the jazz bar at night which was once again closed the whole time we were there. One of the restaurants had a buffet dinner one night then totally closed for dinner the next night which was odd? Even other people that were staying at the hotel was questioning actually what was open? This hotel has so many facilities, bars, restaurants with great potential, people will never need to leave the complex....it would also attract people who aren't staying there.

Quite rnjoyable
The staff was quite helpful and very friendly
Bathrooms was too small and the view was not all that great, got room 222 and the beach is blocked by the coconut trees and and unkept gazebo and pool

Staying in luxury
Breakfast was great but more variety needed. Surroundings were clean and beautiful. Suite was excellent. Staff all round were professional and very helpful when my jacuzzi couldnt turn off, d toilet glogged, the lamp light needed fixing and d patio door was unable to lock. Service was fast and effecient. D bar man was very entertaining
D price on booking.com and d price i had to pay at the hotel were 2 different prices. More expensive at d hotel. False advertising which i didnt appreciate. Room items needed servicing
